Pragmatic Play has introduced a brand-new game designed to elevate the arcade experience and make players explore a beloved genre in a fresh setting. The Spire+ rollout comes with all the trappings of a great game, which includes a prize ladder and a maximum potential win of 250,000x.
The arcade-style gaming is inspired by the crash genre, as players will start climbing a spire and unlock bigger prizes every step of the way.
As they do, players may also choose to cash out and collect their current prize, or venture forward, but also potentially lose their grip and plunge, forfeiting any money they would have won.
This dynamic allows for more player agency, offering players the opportunity to balance between risk and reward and feel involved in the decision-making process. While a "fall" event is beyond the player’s control and happens completely at random, the core mechanic makes players feel involved and entertained.
However, if you prefer to just sit back and watch, you can pick the Random button to make choices for you.
You will be asked to click on a row of rectangles, with each containing a burning skull, which is the "fall" or "crash" event in this case, or arrows pointing up, sending you to the next tier, and adding to the potential multiplied value.
Commenting on this fresh release, Pragmatic Play Director of Public Relations, Sharon McHugh, had this to say:
"Arcade games continue to grow in popularity, underpinned by fast-paced, intuitive, and customisable gameplay. Spire+ aligns with this trend, handing control to players with numerous configurable settings, alongside significant win potential."
To further enhance the sense of player agency, the game also allows players to similarly set the difficulty - from Easy to Mastery, increasing the number of skull symbols that end a round, but also boosting the potential payouts.
Arcade-style games adopting all sorts of mechanics have been popular with Pragmatic Play in recent months. The company notably introduced Mines+ just this year.
