After holding the role of Compliance Manager, Cosmin Tanase was promoted to the position of Head of Compliance at Playson, the leading digital entertainment supplier.
His appointment comes after the company’s successful entry into a couple of strategic gambling markets.
Tanase first joined Playson in 2024 and has played a central role in strategic growth processes at the company since.
Having more than a decade of experience in the iGaming vertical, the new Head of Compliance has helped many businesses navigate compliance-related challenges.
At Playson, he held a central role for the business, offering support and advice in multiple regulated market entries.
Moreover, Tanase led a number of critical compliance activities. He played a central role in Playson’s market entries in the Philippines and Alberta.
Achieving those goals made Tanase a perfect fit for the Head of Compliance role.
Earlier this year, Playson announced the launch of a new €25M Blast & Races campaign.
Tanase said in a press release that he is delighted to assume the role of Head of Compliance permanently.
"The interim period has been hugely rewarding, giving me the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business and contribute to some important regulatory priorities," Playson’s new Head of Compliance explained.
Finally, Tanase pointed out: "I look forward to building on this progress as Playson continues to grow across regulated markets."
Vsevolod Lapin, Playson’s CEO, was similarly excited. He commended Tanase for his dedication and proven leadership over the last few months that helped the company obtain approval from PAGCOR in the Philippines while shaping Playson’s market strategy for its Alberta entry.
"His permanent position in the role of Head of Compliance proves our trust and confidence in him as we continue to seek sustainable growth in regulated global markets," Lapin said in conclusion.
In August, Playson appointed Denys Koshel to the role of VP of Commercial Partnerships.
