The leading sports betting and iGaming operator, NetBet, announced a new partnership with Ray Parlour, the famous English football star nicknamed "Romford Pele." Under the terms of the new collaboration, Parlour was designated as the operator's UK brand ambassador for the 2024 season.
The new agreement represents the latest football ambassador deal for the company recently. Selecting the former football star, NetBet anticipates growing its presence among UK sports fans and bettors alike. Besides football, Parlour is a renowned expert with significant knowledge of golf, as well as horse racing.
As NetBet's UK brand ambassador, the Arsenal legend will participate in different activations. He will help promote the company's casino and sports operations in interactive, fun and at the same time, responsible ways. The recent activation comes ahead of an action-packed sporting season with a wide range of important events.
Marcel Prioteasa, NetBet's Managing Director, commented on the topic in a statement. "We’re delighted to have Ray as part of our team," he revealed. Finally, Prioteasa said: "We know that our players know a thing or two about sport, and with Ray being one of the most loved characters in football, we’re excited for them to enjoy his exclusive content and expert opinion."
On the other hand, Parlour was similarly excited, revealing that it is thrilling to join NetBet as the company's new UK brand ambassador. Last but not least, he outlined: "We’ve got an unbelievable year of sport ahead and NetBet has some fantastic plans for me to get involved with."
NetBet secured a gambling license in the UK back in 2017. The newly announced collaboration with Parlour follows the recent launch of the company's sports betting application in the country which is available for Android and iOS devices. Promising exceptional experiences for sports fans and bettors alike, NetBet's application offers thousands of markets available within top sports and leagues as well as daily promotions and weekly free-to-play games, among other features.
Throughout his professional sports career, Parlour has had more than 400 appearances for his boyhood club. As one of the most decorated and recognizable football players in England, he won a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, a League Cup, as well as three Premier League titles and four FA Cups. With the latest appointment, NetBet seeks to propel its presence and grow its footprint within the competitive iGaming and betting sector in England.
