Lotto.com has become the latest organization and operator to join the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) far-reaching campaign, Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM) in March.
The company is joining a platform that has allowed organizations to showcase various solutions and best practices in supporting problem gambling prevention, encouraging education, and matching at-risk gamblers with treatment and recovery options.
Furthermore, Lotto.com received the Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) accreditation from the NCPG in2021, demonstrating the operator’s commitment to maintaining the best practices for responsible gambling and player protection as a whole.
Besides, PGAM’s core message and goal is something that Lotto.com argues to push for throughout the entire year, focusing on providing players with responsible play and raising awareness for safe play.
Lotto.com is also helping drive the core message of this year’s PGAM, which launched under the "Seeking Understanding" credo, looking to dispel the stigma surrounding gambling addiction and better explain this misunderstood mental health problem.
Lotto.com CEO Thomas Metzger has said that educating players in the lottery segment was very important to the company’s team. He added:
"Our commitment is rooted in empowering individuals at every level of our organization with the knowledge, training, and tools they need to navigate the lottery landscape responsibly. Through this, we aim to enhance security, build trust, and continue to contribute to a positive lottery experience."
For its part, the NCPG hopes to foster awareness and empathy for people who suffer from gambling-related problems, and to ensure that such individuals have access to treatment options.
The campaign seeks to provide support to both the people suffering from gambling-related harm and their families, who are also often impacted by the issue.
