LeoVegas Group has introduced its own dedicated in-house studio, LeoVegas Studios, which will aim to develop innovative slot games for the group and its brands, building products that are fit-for-market and that focus on harnessing player trends and preferences.

LeoVegas Group sets out to build the world’s best slots with a new division

The new studio is helmed by Mats Andersson, an ex-Light & Wonder veteran whose experience as Game Producer will allow him to steer the entire development effort and ensure that LeoVegas Studios develops games that are fit for the current market, leveraging the unique insights that the Group has gathered from its B2C operations.

LeoVegas Studios will focus on building exclusive games available only to the Group and its brands, allowing LeoVegas to further consolidate its name as a purveyor of unique and authentic gaming experiences.

The first title, Where Pigeons Dare, is set to launch today – September 25, 2024. The game sets the scene for a portfolio of titles that are built around personalization and engagement and offer a wide range of experiences across an even wider range of markets.

The game offers medium volatility, issues awards based on the cluster pay mechanic, and features progressive and regular multipliers, along with a buy bonus feature. Every spin is an opportunity to add something extra and enjoy the game even more.

LeoVegas Group sees this as an important continuation to consolidate its efforts as an iGaming powerhouse, with the Group keen to continue strengthening its operations across every faucet.

LeoVegas Group Director of Gaming James Ford has similarly expressed his excitement about the opportunity to see this new project realized. He spoke highly of not just the initiative, but the upcoming game itself:

"With enhanced creative freedom and technical control, we are now positioned to forge our own path and develop exclusive, innovative games that align with our vision and meet our players' evolving needs. Where Pigeons Dare is just the beginning — our future lineup will continue to captivate and push the boundaries of entertainment."

LeoVegas has not been shy about pursuing growth through a multi-pronged approach. Apart from running things in-house, the company has similarly acquired Tipico’s US assets, as the latter brand has decided to quit the competitive sports wagering market. Earlier this year, LeoVegas also acquired prominent iGaming developer Push Gaming.
