Leon Thomas joins White Hat Gaming as Chief Commercial Officer

The state-of-the-art iGaming platform provider, powering gambling operators with innovative solutions, White Hat Gaming, is strengthening its C-suite with a new appointment.

Earlier this week, the company announced it hired Leon Thomas, a former Entain and Hard Rock Digital executive.

Experienced exec assumes the key role of CCO

Joining the C-suite at White Hat Gaming, Thomas will serve as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

In this role, the executive will oversee the company’s sales and marketing operations.

What’s more, Thomas will play a pivotal role in White Hat Gaming’s future partnerships.

The appointment of the new CCO comes at a time when the company plans to help operators consolidate or retire products.

Besides further growth in that area, White Hat Gaming anticipates helping brands launch their services in regulated gambling markets.

Holding a central role in such growth processes, Thomas will leverage his extensive skills and experience.

Phil Gelvan, White Hat Gaming’s CEO, spoke with excitement about the new senior-level appointment, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Leon has sat on both sides of the table. He knows exactly what operators need from a platform partner," the executive said.

Leon Thomas led teams at Entain and Hard Rock Digital

Before joining White Hat Gaming as CCO, Thomas accumulated significant experience in the gaming industry.

He most recently held the role of Vice President International at Hard Rock Digital between June 2024 and August this year.

At the time, he led Hard Rock Digital’s expansion in multiple international markets, including Mexico, Canada and the Netherlands.

Prior to his role at Hard Rock Digital, Thomas was employed by the leading gaming and entertainment company, Entain.

He held a couple of senior-level roles at Entain, including Group Strategy Director/Corporate Development and M&A, as well as Managing Director - Canada/CEO of Sports Interaction.

Earlier in his career, Thomas was employed by Microgaming, where he held key positions.

The new CCO at White Hat Gaming has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, making him a valuable asset to the company’s leadership team.
