Leading gaming company International Game Technology (IGT), expanded further its presence in Ohio after announcing a new agreement. Last week, the company confirmed it expanded the footprint of its IGT PlaySports technology in Ohio, via a new agreement with BetSkybox. Thanks to the new deal, the operator can now deploy IGT's PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks at different locations such as bars and restaurants around the state.

The new collaboration expands further the reach of IGT Play Sports, which is a part of IGT PlayDigital. In fact, the leading solutions are already available in more than 80 different land-based locations in Canada, as well as the United States.

What's more, currently, the solutions are valid for both class A and C license partners in Ohio, a statement released by IGT reveals. The recent deal complements previous launches and further reaffirms the scalability and flexibility of the technology, making it suitable for different operators.

Joe Asher, IGT's President of Sports Betting, shared his excitement saying: "Expanding IGT PlaySports' footprint in Ohio through our partnership with BetSkybox increases the opportunity for sports fans throughout the state to enjoy premium betting experiences while they are watching games at restaurants and bars."

According to him, the state currently has college, as well as professional sports teams with continuously growing fan bases. Finally, Asher said: "The simplicity and intuitive nature of IGT's PlaySports kiosks will make it easy for any fan to responsibly place bets on their favorite sports teams."

Ron Frederickson, the President of Skybox Sports Network / BetSkybox, added that the company is excited to tap into IGT's leading sports betting technology and deliver it to its partners. Moreover, he acknowledged that thanks to the new deal, the company and its licensed partners will benefit from IGT's PlaySports' self-service betting solutions.

In conclusion, Frederickson said: "IGT's high-performing betting solutions will add another layer of excitement as patrons gather at these social establishments to watch their favorite sports and teams."

Details of the new collaboration emerged after recently, IGT PlayDigital teamed up with the leading iGaming content provider and developer, 7777 gaming. Per the terms of the new deal, content from the iGaming provider will reach new markets via IGT PlayDigital's Game Aggregation Platform. This marked another important deal for 7777 gaming, which continues to expand the reach of its content.

More recently, IGT was recognized for its Economic, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts late last month. The company confirmed that it scored in the 88th percentile in the casino and gaming industry category of the 2022 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). At the time of the announcement, IGT said that it has seen an improvement in its score since the previous assessment.
