Monday marked the launch of ICE Barcelona, a prestigious event that brings together the entire gaming industry for three days, offering education and networking opportunities.

The move to Barcelona marks a new and exciting chapter for ICE

The launch of the much-anticipated event was hailed as a resounding success.

The 2025 edition of the event marks the first time the event is taking place at the Fira de Barcelona.

Not unexpectedly, ICE increased the space it uses from 100,000 square meters for its 2024 edition to 120,000 square meters for ICE Barcelona.

The latest edition of the show also helped attract representatives of 100 regulatory bodies across the globe, as well as more than 1,000 exhibitors.

With January 20 marking the first day of the event, visitors and exhibitors shared their excitement, recognizing the impressive scalability and unique insights it brings.

Tracey Cohen, director of marketing at TCS John Huxley, deemed Day 1 of ICE Barcelona as "very impressive."

"There has been a great buzz around the exhibition and a general feeling that the move to Barcelona represents a new and exciting chapter for the ICE brand," the executive added.

Moreover, Cohen said: "We’ve been consistently busy on our stand. We’re seeing all the right people plus some new faces. I really like the new venue and from an access point of view, it’s been great."

The first day of the prestigious event has been great

The exceptional success at the launch of ICE Barcelona is a testament to the event's dedication to bringing together trusted gaming experts and truly underlines its importance on the gambling industry's packed calendar.

Thomas Jingoli, Konami Gaming's executive vice president and COO, said about the opening day of the prestigious event: "Day 1 of ICE Barcelona has been great."

The executive added: "Whenever there is a change in the location of an established show, you would expect there to be a bit of a learning curve, but with this year’s ICE, I have to say that we’ve been very happy with how the first day has gone."

Jingoli acknowledged that Konami Gaming is delighted to attend the event in Barcelona, adding that the city offers a range of amenities.

"The feedback that I’ve received within the industry, including in conversations with some of our competitors, is that everyone has been very pleased with Day 1 of the show," Konami Gaming's executive explained.

ICE Barcelona offers a range of exciting events, sessions and seminars, including the Sustainable Gambling Zone, the ICE Esports Arena and the World Gaming Forum, among others.
