Groupe FDJ, the operator of La Française des Jeux, or the French national lottery, has signed a new partnership with Scientific Games. The partnership covers a new revolutionary game by the name of iDecide and it wants to empower consumers and players in a way that allows them to enjoy and expand on their winnings while innovating the land-based experience. It’s a ground-breaking concept for the lottery industry, the companies argue in a press release.

The launch of the solution is also realized days ahead of the World Lottery Summit in Vancouver which is bound to drop even more interesting nuggets of news over the coming days. The solution is elegant, and it has a "risk" feature attached to it. Essentially, a winning card from the iDecide series will come with a QR code which can then be used by the players to continue playing after they have revealed a winning combination.

If a player chooses to do this, they must continue to advance throughout the games for a chance to increase their winnings exponentially. Whether the winnings increase in the end will depend partly on what decisions players make as part of their iDecide experience. FDJ EVP of Technology and International Xavier Etienne welcomed this new addition and said that players stand to benefit from unique experiences.

It's not just about that. The scratch cards that are bought at the retailer and that have the QR code will transport players from the retail sector to digital lottery space in a seamless and innovative way that truly elevates the experience for all, and the way customers can enjoy lottery games in the first place. He is also confident that this is the future of all lottery play and the global industry.

There is no digital player registration required, which is a smart move by the FDJ and Scientific Games, making for an even more intuitive onboarding process that is very likely to appeal to consumers. Scientific Games SVP of Global Lottery ProductInnovationJeff Martineck was similarly pleased with the launch of iDecide games which are bound to modernize the lottery experience for all participants.

"Best of all, iDecide games firmly connect lottery retailers to the digital channel, maximizing revenues and contributions to lottery good cause programs," he noted. The iDecide games will be distributed throughout FDJ’s network of retailers in France. Presently, there are more than 30,000 places that sell these tickets.

FDJ has been involved in many different initiatives over the past months. It has offered support against cyber bullies and raised funds for relief efforts to help victims of the war in Ukraine.
