GiG expands to Switzerland via Grand Casino Basel deal

Under the terms of the new collaboration, Grand Casino Basel's current online business, Golden Grand Casino, will be migrated to GiG's leading platform.

The expansion of GiG in Switzerland doesn't come as a surprise, considering the potential of the gambling sector in the country. Currently, to offer online gambling services, operators need to team up with a land-based casino license.

This regulatory framework holds significant opportunities, according to industry experts. H2 Gambling Data confirms such positive predictions, forecasting growth of the online gambling market in the country by 30% year-over-year up to €440m in GGR until the end of this year.
