Gaming Innovation Group’s (GiG) Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Phil Richards, announced he has stepped down from his senior-level role at the company on Monday.
In a post via LinkedIn, Richards revealed that October was his last month as CFO at GiG.
He was appointed to the C-suite role back in July 2024 and steps down after two and a half years.
Interestingly, this was a busy period for GiG and Richards offered key advice and helped the company navigate various challenges.
Notably, with him as CFO, the company has completed its initial public offering (IPO) and has acquired a majority stake in 888Africa, among other things.
"It has been a period of real change for GiG and one of which I’m immensely proud of: Starting with the IPO, alongside our significantly sharpening both the focus and quality of our platform offering whilst strengthening financial reporting and investor engagement, culminating with completing the acquisition of a majority stake in 888Africa," Richards wrote.
His background includes a CFO role at Corero Network Security, as well as various senior-level positions at Kambi over several years.
The experienced executive is leaving GiG to join a company that offers world-class visualization solutions that help share ideas, optimize workflows, and create experiences called Chaos.
Per Richards’ announcement, he will join Chaos effective December 1, 2026, and will serve as the company’s CFO.
"Chaos is at a very exciting stage of its growth, and I’m really looking forward to working with Iveta Cabajova and the leadership team alongside our investors to help build on that momentum," the former GiG exec explained.
Richards expressed gratitude to GiG’s CEO, Richard Carter, the company’s General Counsel, Claudio Caruana, Chief People Officer Kevin Norville, and other team and Board members and executives part of the company’s teams.
"I leave the business in excellent hands and will be following its progress closely," the former CFO further explained.
