SBC Events has continued to pull the big guns for its upcoming events, with the latest piece of exciting news concerning the SBC Summit Tbilisi due to take place in Georgia later this month.
The event will see Chris Bird, a former Manchester City COO and Founder of EQ Sports & Gaming, join the discussions, by first delivering an exclusive keynote named: "Influencers, Content and Esports… You Bet! Unleashing the Power of Dynamic Strategies in the Esports Ecosystem."
The keynote will kick off the "Market Focus" conference and bring together like-minded individuals who are interested in finding more about these opportunities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, where sports and esports culture are indeed high.
Bird is going to share some important titbits on how to leverage the power of influencers to drive growth, particularly in esports, and elicit stronger content engagement from audiences.
He has had his teeth cut in this particular vertical during his time with Manchester City, which also dabbled in those areas before choosing to go it alone with companies such as Bee That Gamer, The Not Really Here Group, and EQ Esports & Gaming, among other projects.
Commenting on the opportunity to be a part of the action, Bird had this to add:
"I’m eagerly anticipating the SBC Summit in Tbilisi because it offers an invaluable platform for me to share my diverse experiences in sport, esports, gaming, and creating social change. This event is a unique convergence of industry leaders and innovators, where I can contribute insights from my journey and learn from others."
Bird’s experience is significant. He spent the 80s working across media newspapers and commercial radio before he launched his eponymous firm, Bird Consultancy at the turn of the decade, in 1990.
It’s one of the longest-standing independent consultancies in London, the United Kingdom, and he has accumulated enviable experience working in the industry, having managed PR for Betfred, JD Sports and Manchester City FC.
Commenting on the opportunity to welcome such dignitary to the event, SBC CEO & Founder Rasmus Sojmark remarked that Bird was indeed a remarkable figure in the sports and media world, and a delight to have at the upcoming gathering.
"Even though I'm a Chelsea fan, we can all agree that his tenure at Manchester City has had a great impact on the club. I look forward to this keynote," Sojmark wrapped up tongue-in-cheek.
