DraftKings and Kindbridge Behavioral Health have announced that they are expanding their relationship, with the leading American sportsbook and gaming operator to support the organization’s efforts in providing access to therapy and treatment of problem gambling. The partnership will specifically focus on jurisdictions where DraftKings is a licensed and regulated operator, either by running iGaming or sports betting products.

This partnership is meant to strengthen an already existing collaboration that began back in 2023 in Colorado, and has been flourishing ever since, helping vulnerable, at-risk, and problem gambling consumers to get professional help and get better.

As of April 1, all customers registered at DraftKings in any of the 25 states where the company is present, and Ontario, Canada, will have access to several built-in tools that are designed to help minimize gambling-related harm and improve awareness. Among those are comprehensive mental health self-tests, access to care providers and even personalized care plans thanks to Kindbridge.

DraftKings Chief Compliance Officer Jennifer Aguiar has welcomed this opportunity and said that DraftKings was indeed proud to be working with Kindbridge in providing crucial resources to those who may be experiencing gambling-related harm and need help. She further stressed how important it is for the company to be actively involved in the process and support consumers across different jurisdictions.

"We want everyone on our platform to engage in responsible play and we are committed to educating consumers on the multitude of resources offered. For those who recognize signs of problem gaming and decide to utilize our tools to self-exclude, they now have access to therapy and treatment free of cost through Kindbridge Behavioral Health," Aguiar noted.

Kindbridge CEO Daniel Umfleet was similarly pleased with the opportunity and what the collaboration meant for the organization’s efforts in raising awareness and providing treatment and therapy to vulnerable consumers. This new tie-up with DraftKings, would effectively allow DraftKings to provide direct care across 25 states, Umfleet noted.

"This effort underlines our commitment to combat problem gaming with personalized, accessible support. This collaboration sets a new industry benchmark for comprehensive care, ensuring swift and essential support is accessible to those in need," Umfleet concluded.
