  • Clarion Gaming and ANJL have teamed up to host a high-level meeting in Brazil
  • The discussion focused on how ICE Barcelona 2026 will feature a dedicated country-centric initiative known as Casa Brazil
  • Brazil’s significance on the international gaming stage will be on display at ICE Barcelona 2026

Clarion Gaming held a high-level symposium in Brazil at the beginning of the month, which included representatives from the Brazilian government as well as Brazil’s National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL), which collaborated with the company to co-organize the event.

The event reunited such prominent figures as Giovanni Rocco, Secretary of Betting and Sports Economic Development, Ministry of Sports, Plínio Machado, president of ANJL, and Ricardo Magri, Director of EBAC, who came together to discuss the importance of Brazil on the international gaming stage.

Liliana Costa, Clarion Gaming’s Director for Latin America, spoke about how the next edition of ICE Barcelona will offer opportunities to address important and pressing industry-related matters through a dedicated platform aptly called "Casa Brazil," which will feature seminars, regulatory updates, networking, and strategic discussions.

"ICE will have an energised focus on Latin America with Brazil at the centre of a dedicated programme that will include seminars, regulatory updates, networking, and strategic discussions.

In terms of specifics, I can confirm the launch of Casa Brazil, an exclusive, private space dedicated to Brazil. A central theme of the Brasilia symposium was the shared commitment to combating illegal markets and fostering a secure, trustworthy environment for players and businesses."

ANJL President Plinio Lemos Jorge also spoke highly of the opportunity to hold the high-profile meeting and outline plans for ICE 2026.

"The gathering, held in partnership with Clarion, was an important moment of integration for the regulated sector. We had the opportunity to align strategic agendas for the world’s largest gaming industry event, ICE 2026, and to strengthen connections that will contribute to the development of the betting market in Brazil. We have been making consistent progress, and the sector is already consolidating itself as an industry of undeniable significance for the country’s growth," Jorge said.

"The 'Casa Brazil' initiative at ICE Barcelona will serve as a critical platform to share best practices, develop robust regulatory frameworks, and forge the international partnerships needed to shut down illicit operations and protect consumers. Our aim is to encourage dialogue, share knowledge, strengthen regulatory frameworks, and provide opportunities for the Brazilian sector to engage with global peers and explore international business prospects," Costa added.
