Clarion Gaming continues to deliver one milestone after the next, with the event host now announcing two more sustainability initiatives for the upcoming ICE Barcelona and IGB Affiliate Barcelona events.

The Sustainable Stand Award and Better Stands Initiative will both be available to about 700+ exhibitors that are expected to be present on-site at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via from January 19-21, 2026.

The Better Stands Initiative focuses on a global effort to reduce waste in the exhibition industry by turning to reusable stands. The StandOut Awards will also award exhibitors for achieving the Most Sustainable Stand.

Clarion Gaming Portfolio Director Margaret Dunn has welcomed this new opportunity and said:

"Alongside the Sustainable Stand Awards, we run a range of initiatives that aim to minimise the environmental impact of our events, such as offering eco-friendly badge wallets for the first time at ICE.

Through these initiatives, we aim not only to promote social and environmental responsibility in the gaming community, but also to be part of the change."

The winning stands will be announced on Tuesday, January 23, 2026. To apply for the distinction, exhibitors would have to hold a Gold Better Stands certificate, which is awarded by the hosts during the event.

Anyone hoping to secure the accolade would also have to submit a sustainability statement and describe how their presence shows best sustainability practices, including travel method, stand design, and the use of specific marketing materials.
