CasinoBeats reveals shortlists for Game Developer Awards 2024

The prestigious Game Developer Awards 2024, hosted by CasinoBeats, due to take place on Thursday, May 23 at the Hilton Malta, and reunite 300 industry professionals in an exclusive ceremony, has revealed the shortlists for the upcoming event.

A total of 20 companies will compete across numerous categories, including Streamers, Casino Platforms, Game People, Game Creation, and Game Performance. This year’s list sees a number of companies, including ELA Games, ELK Studios, Avatar UX, Nolimit City, Pragmatic Play, Red Tiger, EveryMatrix, Relax Gaming, Push Gaming, and many others vying for the "Slot of the Year" title.

Pragmatic Play is also going to compete in the "Slot Legacy" category and the "Game Mechanic of the Year" category with Gates of Olympus and the MultiHold mechanic respectively. Interestingly, Pragmatic Play is also vying for other categories such as "Game Feature of the Year" as well as "Game Design & Art Direction," making it one of the best-represented companies in this year’s awards.

The "Slot Legacy" category will see a crowded field of contenders, however, including IGT, Light & Wonder, Games Global, Fortune Factory Studios, Eyecon, Blueprint Gaming, and others. In "Game Mechanic of the Year," Pragmatic Play will be joined by a number of other companies, such as 7777 Gaming, Bragg Gaming, Fortune Factory Studios, Hacksaw Gaming, Nailed It! Games, Slotmill, and more.

The Game Feature of the Year is another well-contested category which will see Wazdan, last year’s winner, return to try and win once again. Other exciting categories in this year’s edition include "Game Music & Soundtrack" as well as "Slot to Watch," among others.

In a similar vein, a reward will be handed down in the "Game Composer of the Year," distinguishing the person or people behind exciting soundtracks of games. Other exciting categories will include "Streamer of the Year," which will bring together popular streamers as CasinoDaddy, Classy Beef, GamDucks, Hideous Slots, Kim Hultman, and others.

Besides this award, streamers will also vie for the "Next-Gen Streamer of the Year" and "Responsible Streamer of the Year." In the Casino Platform category, there will be the familiar faces of EveryMatrix, iGP, Bragg Gaming Group, WA. Technology, and not least Digitain.

All in all, CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards 2024 is an exciting opportunity for companies to stand out from the crowd and demonstrate their acumen and know-how in the sector.
