Brightstar highlights dedication to sustainability in new report

The global supplier of innovative technology, solutions and content, powering retail and digital lotteries, Brightstar Lottery, released a new report, highlighting its dedication to sustainability since its transition to pure-play lottery business.

The company continues to follow its sustainability strategy

The whitepaper, titled "The 2024 Brightstar Lottery Sustainability Report," showcases the company's focus on global sustainability via its new strategy.

Brightstar Lottery's enhanced sustainability strategy focuses on three key principles: Empowering Our People, Collaborating with Partners and Preserving the Planet, as explained by a statement released by the company.

The globally recognizable lottery content and solutions supplier said that each of the aforementioned elements is activated via six spheres of impact.

Such include actions related to responsible gaming, sustainable procurement, employee engagement, human rights and other vital aspects.

Notably, Brightstar Lottery outlined key highlights from the 2024 report, which coincide with its three elements of sustainability.

When it comes to Preserving the Planet, the company is proactively engaged in preserving natural resources, advancing circularity and protecting the climate.

Such initiatives, organized by Brightstar, include the repurposing of some 700,000 printing cartridges in Italy. Ultimately, this effort saved a whopping 280 tons of plastic waste.

In 2024, the company focused on strengthening relationships with its business partners and communities in markets where it operates. Such objectives are in line with Brightstar's Collaborating with Partners sustainability element.

Last but not least, the company reaffirmed its support for empowering and valuing its workforce with contributions and workforce development.

During last year, Brightstar recorded a range of initiatives under its Empowering Our People principle.

Importantly, it was recognized with Top Employer certification for its operations in the United States, Canada, as well as Italy. Those prestigious recognitions were obtained by Brightstar Lottery for a third consecutive year.

Brightstar plans to continue evolving and enhancing its sustainability strategy

Vince Sadusky, Brightstar's CEO, shared his excitement about the newly released report.

"The 2024 Brightstar Lottery Sustainability Report highlights our ongoing mission to advance lotteries by delivering insights-driven, future ready solutions that bolster our customers, inspire their players, and contribute to a sustainable future," he said.

Moreover, Sadusky pointed out: "Along with the evolution of our business, our sustainability strategy was enhanced to focus on our most important stakeholders."
