Betsson reports Q2 revenue increase of 12% to €303.7m

The leading online gambling company managing more than 20 online gaming brands, Betsson AB, released its interim financial results, reporting a strong growth in revenue and EBITDA for the second quarter or the three months ended June 30, 2025.

The recent results reaffirm the company's ongoing growth

On Friday, the company confirmed that its revenue for the quarter between April and June soared to €303.7m.

While last year, Betsson's group revenue halted at €271.5m, the latest result points to an increase of 12% or organic growth of 16%.

Further details provided by Betsson reveal that EBITDA for the quarter between April and June this year increased as well, hitting €84.1m, a figure that represents more than 8% year-over-year increase.

Betsson's operating income (EBIT) during the second quarter recorded an increase of 8% considering it hit €69.0m. In contrast, the company's operating income for the same period last year halted at €64.1m.

The net income reported by Betsson for the second quarter period that ended June 30 was €49.2m.

Not unexpectedly, this result also marked an increase, considering that the company's net income for the corresponding period in 2024 halted at €44.4m.

Pontus Lindwall, Betsson's President and CEO, acknowledged that the latest results point to solid growth and strengthened market positions.

"With continued strong customer engagement, continuous product development and a growing market presence, Betsson is well positioned to capture global growth opportunities in the structurally attractive market for online gaming," the executive explained.

Lindwall added: "In the second quarter of 2025, we continued to deliver value to customers, partners and shareholders. Group revenue increased by 12% and operating income increased by 8% compared to the corresponding quarter last year, which included the UEFA European Championship and Copa America."

Betsson enjoys strong first half results

Besides the second quarter interim results, Betsson released its financial report for the first half of 2025.

Notably, the company's revenue for the period between January and June this year soared by 15% to €597.3m.

EBITDA for the same period increased by 8%, hitting €161.8m with a margin of 27.1%.

Just as important, Betsson reported operating income of €133.0m for the first half of the year. This result represents an increase of 9% year-over-year.

In the first six months of 2024, Betsson reported a net income of €87.2m.

For the same period this year, the company's net income increased to €97.3m.
