Betsson has managed to secure a third license in Argentina, expanding methodically in the country through its subsidiaries. The Group has received an official go-ahead to deliver its online gaming products for Cordoba, a province.

This marks the latest development for the Group in the Latin American region and a particular focus on Argentina. Both Betsson and its partner Casino de Victoria have been granted the necessary licenses to begin operations.

The two companies have also been collaborating in Argentina since 2019, however, with the pair obtaining licenses in both the Province of Buenos Aires and the City of Buenos Aires at first. Both jurisdictions operate their gaming industries separately from one another and companies willing to be represented in both need to go through the necessary regulatory processes, as Betsson and Casino de Victoria have done.

Operations were finally launched in 2022 with the partners now determined to continue growing their footprint in the country. Commenting on the Cordoba license, Betsson AB CEO and President Pontus Lindwall said that the Group was very pleased to have secured this new license and to have done so alongside Casino de Victoria, a trusted and long-standing partner in the country.

"When merging their long experience in the Argentinian market with our know-how in online gaming, we can truly reach our ambition of becoming a market leader in this rapidly growing online market," Lindwall added. Betsson has been looking to significantly strengthen its presence in the Latin American market and has done so through a series of partnerships.

Among those include the partnership between Betsson and the Peruvian Football Federation and Liga1. Betsson also brought on Nicole Regnier as an ambassador for the company’s operations in Colombia. The company added another brand ambassador for Colombia earlier this week, with Sara Uribe now joining Regnier.
