Boxing fans are in for a treat after the ultimate professional fight league, TBL Team Boxing League, announced its intention to host the first-ever televised open boxing tryouts.

The exciting event will be held between January 16, 2026, and January 18, 2026, at Bally's Atlantic City.

The three-day event will be televised and will reach a range of audiences

More than 100 fighters have already signed up for the upcoming combine, which will focus on live entertainment, athletic testing and fan engagement.

A statement released by TBL confirms that the boxing combine will be held at Bally's Atlantic City's Traymore Ballroom.

The exciting event marks the first time in the history of the League and boxing that fighters from all backgrounds will compete in an open casting call for professional team-based boxing.

The fighters who signed up for the combine will progress through different evaluation stations.

The three-day event at the 13,000 square-foot Traymore Ballroom will be filmed for streaming and broadcasting.

Catering to Spanish audiences, TBL confirmed that it will offer Spanish-language support.

Soo Kim, Bally's Chairman, commented: "We're excited to partner with TBL to host their boxing combine at Bally's Atlantic City, bringing world-class athletic competition and live entertainment to our guests."

"This collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to immersive experiences that captivate audiences, drive tourism, and enhance our entertainment portfolio," the executive added.

Finally, Kim pointed out: "We look forward to expanding this partnership, creating a new destination for sports and entertainment across Bally's properties."

Unique team-based boxing experience comes to Bally's Atlantic City

Kevin Cassidy, TBL Team Boxing League's CEO, was similarly delighted with the latest announcement.

"The TBL Boxing Combine represents a groundbreaking opportunity for emerging talent across the East Coast to showcase their skills in a high-energy, fan-driven environment," he said.

"With over 100 athletes already signed up, we're thrilled to bring this unique team-based boxing experience to Bally's Atlantic City," Cassidy added.

Last but not least, the executive acknowledged that the upcoming event represents the start of an engaging collaboration between the League and Bally's, hinting that TBL intends to expand to new locations in the future and deliver unrivaled entertainment for athletes and fans.

The athletes' evaluation will include a range of tests, including endurance, strength and fitness testing.

The fighters' speed, accuracy and punching power is also going to be measured, while their footwork and hand/eye coordination will also undergo analysis.

Further tests will focus on live sparring, as well as box jumps, jump rope and other vital components.
