The UK-registered charity that delivers free blocking software that helps people better manage and limit their online gambling activities, BetBlocker, announced it received a new donation that will help it continue its noble cause.

On Monday, the charity revealed that the recognizable gaming content provider, powering gaming and betting companies across the globe, Aristocrat Interactive, made an important donation.

In a statement, BetBlocker thanked Aristocrat Interactive for its donation.

The charity also acknowledged that this vital contribution would enable it to continue offering its free blocking software services.

Aristocrat's donation positions the company on a growing list of recognizable providers who have already vowed their support for BetBlocker.

Donations are vital to BetBlocker's efforts

Duncan Garvie, BetBlocker's Founder and Trustee, shared his excitement about the recent contribution from Aristocrat Gaming.

"The BetBlocker project has gained significant momentum over the course of 2024, with recognition from some of the most prestigious and knowledgeable organizations in the sector, and the support of industry event organizers to help raise awareness of the service we provide," he explained.

Moreover, Garvie spoke about the importance of donations for BetBlocker.

He stressed that such contributions enable the charity to continue providing its services.

Garvie said that he and the team at BetBlocker are delighted to see Aristocrat's support.

Finally, the executive explained: "That support ensures that we can continue to support the tens of thousands of people who use BetBlocker every day to help them manage their access to gambling responsibly and minimize gambling harms."

The recent donation comes on the heels of an important announcement from BetBlocker.

Last month, the charity confirmed it was recognized with the Jim Wuelfing Annual Award for Prevention, a testament to its leadership in gambling harm reduction.

The prestigious recognition was awarded during the National Council on Problem Gambling Awards.

Currently, BetBlocker's app supports Windows, Apple, Linux, Fire OS, Android and iOS operating systems.

The innovative solution helps consumers restrict access to both licensed and unregulated gambling providers.

BetBlocker is recognized for its effectiveness in helping people completely cut off their access to gambling or better manage their gambling.

The solution blocks not only access to gambling websites but can impose restrictions for applications too.
