Altenar, the company that offers best-in-class solutions for licensed operators within the gambling industry, celebrated its entry into the regulated gambling market in the Netherlands. The company announced on Monday that it achieved certification in the region.
This marked a major step for Altenar which deemed the entry into the regulated iGaming market as a "dedicated dream." Moreover, the recent licensing expanded the reach of the company and followed other leading software developers that have already established a presence in the Netherlands.
The leading solutions provider acknowledged that the Betting and Gambling Act 2021 is currently in effect and regulates gambling activity in the market. A prime reason why the company is proud of its entry is the compliance with the local regulations currently in place.
According to Altenar, its dedicated team of experts invested time to ensure the compliance of its products with the regulatory framework. This was a strategic move as it sought to offer its leading sports betting software solutions to operators in the market and at the same time ensure their compliance with the Betting and Gambling Act.
"Given the Netherlands betting market's heritage for arcade-based games, Altenar's use of widget technology, amongst other features, will offer familiar forms of betting that have taken shape in newer and more accessible forms through the iGaming space," the company explained in a statement released on October 24, 2022.
Considering the licensing, Altenar said that its leading services will bring "something fresh and unique to the market space." Dedicated to innovation, the leading software developer constantly improves its risk-management system and offers 24/7 support.
Additionally, Altenar offers leading sports content and solutions. The company revealed it expects strong demand for its sportsbook in the growing market in the Netherlands. "Altenar's sportsbook is set to take the Netherlands by storm and you can go along for the ride by contacting Altenar's passionate team today," the company added.
Founded more than a decade ago, Altenar is currently an exclusively business-to-business company. Besides Europe, the company currently has a presence in other strategic regulated iGaming markets around the globe.
Without any doubt, Altenar's global presence continues to grow and only recently, in September, the company entered Ontario, Canada. The company's entry into the most populous province in the country came after it was granted a Gaming Related Supplier license from the gambling regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
At the time of the announcement, Altenar's Director of Operations, Antonis Karakousis, shared his excitement by saying that the company looks forward to introducing its leading services to customers in the new market. At the same time, he explained that Altenar's leading solution was tailored to fit the needs of Ontarian sports fans.
