FanDuel and GeoComply have expanded their existing alliance by extending the partnership through a new multi-year renewal.
The two companies have worked together over the past 13 years, with GeoComply providing the sportsbook and gaming company with geolocation services, allowing it to deploy tools such as age verification and geolocation at scale, and ensure compliance and player protection.
In a press statement shared by the companies, FanDuel President Christian Genetski said:
"GeoComply has been an important partner as we’ve built a platform our customers can trust. Our focus has always been on delivering a great customer experience while operating with the highest standards of integrity and compliance. We’re excited to continue working with GeoComply in the years ahead."
FanDuel will continue to rely on GeoComply’s tech for fraud prevention, protecting customers and maintaining its platform integrity, along with age verification and advanced know-your-customer practices, resulting in an elevated and compliant experience.
GeoComply CEO Kip Levin was similarly pleased with the deal, pointing out the long way the pair has come, growing together and expanding from a single regulated state to today’s entire regulated gambling market.
"What’s been interesting is everything we’ve built together on top of those signals since: fraud and abuse detection, frictionless authentication, market insights. The kind of intelligence that is key to operators’ compliance at scale," Levin added.
GeoComply has been the preferred geolocation and fraud-prevention specialist for other sector companies, including FanDuel’s main rival, DraftKings. DraftKings and GeoComply also announced a recent extension of their partnership, pointing to the tech company’s strengths in providing an immaculate service.
Levin himself has noted in previous remarks that companies that focus on strengthening their geolocation intelligence are those that are poised to stay ahead, describing it as "critical trust infrastructure."
Earlier this year, GeoComply announced layoffs affecting 80 positions, with the company noting that it is streamlining its operations to boost efficiency.
