Exploring potential defensive reinforcement, the Dallas Cowboys may be targeting an Arizona Cardinals edge rusher for a trade.
That’s what the award-winning NFL reporter, insider and analyst, Jason La Canfora, sees as one possible scenario.
"Jerry and Stephen Jones, those guys know they need major help upfront. I believe that’s very likely to be Josh Sweat, an edge rusher from the Arizona Cardinals, who has been sort of at odds with that organization since the summer," the insider explained in an exclusive interview with Casino Guru News.
La Canfora pointed to reported tensions between Sweat and Arizona, while mentioning the departure of Jonathan Gannon, the franchise’s former head coach that the edge rusher knew from their time at the Philadelphia Eagles.
"He doesn’t really see a future there. The guy who brought him in, Jonathan Gannon, who he knew from his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, is no longer the head coach. They’ve got rookie head coach," the NFL analyst and insider continued.
La Canfora mentioned Arizona’s trade of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr to the Houston Texans, while suggesting the Cardinals may consider further trades.
"They’d like to trade a quarterback. Maybe they trade elite safety Budda Baker as well. And certainly, Josh Sweat is someone NFL teams are trying to pry away," the insider and analyst said in conclusion.
