We sit down to speak with Alexander Björkén whose company, Streamia.io, recently signed up a partnership with Relax Gaming, allowing the platform to connect streamers and audiences with one of the supplier’s newest games, Ancient Tumble.
As Product Growth Manager, Björkén is focused on making the platform grow, demonstrating its utility value and securing partnerships across the iGaming landscape.
Although streaming has had its ups and downs, the vertical is decisively on an upward trajectory, with Björkén fully confident that this is not a mere trend, but the status quo from here on out.
Q: Alexander, can you start by outlining what your company does and why it is an important part of the iGaming industry?
Definitely! Streamia is essentially a one-stop shop for veteran, novice, or even aspiring casino streamers.
We offer them a platform where they can get the necessary information and several tools to help them in their journey. How to start streaming, important things to know about the iGaming industry, as well as tailored and premade commission deals and bonuses which they can take advantage of, are some of the features that Streamia offers.
We aim to be the only point of contact for them administratively, so they can focus on what they do best: create content.
Streaming casinos are becoming more and more popular by the day in the iGaming space, and having a platform that alleviates a lot of the friction that comes with starting out is what we believe is essential, especially for the curious ones who are maybe hesitant to take the first step.
Q: You have recently signed up for a partnership with Relax Gaming to promote the launch of one of the studio’s latest games, Ancient Tumble. Have you been happy with the results so far?
We are happy, yes! Having such a big name as Relax Gaming by our side so early in our journey to become a household name in the iGaming streaming sphere is great. Streamers have enjoyed the campaign that we made together, and we’re seeing more and more sign-ups and activity around it, which was the intention.
Q: How big has streaming become and do you think that all brands would need to tap into streaming to stay competitive?
I mentioned earlier that casino streaming is definitely becoming more popular. It has had its ups and downs in the past, but the interest in starting to stream has soared and the viewership is not going down. It’s definitely something that brands should capitalize on. There is a lot of untapped potential, and with Streamia making it easier both for the streamers themselves and for the operators, there’s no better time than now.
Q: Can streamers be trusted to advertise for a company? Do they understand the responsibility they carry; do you think?
This is one of the most important things to emphasize, both for operators and for the streamers. We make sure to educate them about things like responsible gambling and fraudulent traffic.
Making it crystal clear for streamers that they carry this responsibility is vital for making sure that all parties understand the model of casino streaming and get their piece. I think this is one of the topics that makes brands hesitant to work with casino streamers, and this hesitation is something that we want to eliminate by working closely with everyone involved, to make sure it becomes a seamless experience.
Q: What is Streamia planning to do beyond its partnership with Relax Gaming next?
Without giving too much away, we have plenty of new partnerships and platform features coming.
2024 has been preliminarily scoped out. I’m saying preliminarily as there are always things coming up that we want to implement in between.
We have an amazing team that is very experienced in casino streaming and knows what casino streamers actually want and need. We always come up with new ideas to improve and make the platform better, along with giving the streamers an experience that is enjoyable and reliable.
I have no doubt that it will be an exciting future for casino streaming as a whole.
