One incredibly fortunate lottery player in Virginia woke up Monday significantly richer after scoring a life-changing prize.

The Virginia Lottery, which offers and organizes various lottery games, including draw games, online instant games and scratch-off tickets, confirmed that one lucky soul won the top prize from its Cash4Life game.

Ticket purchased in Hampton wins Cash4Life's top prize

The popular game, Cash4Life, is played not only in Virginia but in several other states such as New Jersey, New York, Florida, Maryland, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri.

The fan-favorite multi-state game grants players a chance to win a prize between $2 and a mind-blowing top prize of $1,000 a day for life.

The cost per play for Cash4Life is $2.

During the game's recent drawing on Sunday, November 9, 2025, a single ticket matched all winning numbers to win the top prize.

The ticket matched correctly all winning numbers, 3-8-18-20-22, along with the Cash Ball number, which was 4.

As a result, the fortunate winner will be looking for a mind-boggling $1,000 per day for life, which translates to $365,000 per year for life.

Alternatively, the fortunate winner may collect instantly a one-time, lump cash sum of $7m.

The top prize winning ticket in Cash4Life's November 9 drawing was purchased at Aberdeen Food Mart at 933 Aberdeen Road in Hampton.

At the time of writing, the fortunate winner hasn't claimed their big fortune.

Still, the Virginia Lottery encouraged the lucky person to immediately sign the back of the ticket to establish ownership.

The lucky soul has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the Cash4Life prize.

Cash4Life offers a range of prizes

The odds of winning a tier two prize from Cash4Life are 1 in 7,282,016.

On the other hand, a tier three prize from the popular game awards $2,500 and the odds of winning such a prize are 1 in 79,440.

Within the lower prize tiers, players can win prizes between $500 and $2.
