The fortunate winner, a Macomb County man, won nearly $500,000 from the Michigan Lottery's Fantasy 5 game.

The lucky player purchased his ticket at the Meijer store on 29505 Mound Road in Warren.

To win the Fantasy 5's $491,980 jackpot, the Macomb County man matched all winning numbers from the game's December 27, 2025, drawing.

At the time, the winning numbers were 10, 13, 25, 30 and 37.

In Michigan, lottery winners can remain anonymous, which was the wish of the Macomb County man.

The fortunate player spoke with excitement about the win, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Fantasy 5 and KENO! are my favorite Lottery games that I play all the time," the winner admitted.

Moreover, the player pointed out: "When I checked my Fantasy 5 ticket and saw all my numbers, I looked it over again, and again, and again."

Recalling the moment of the win, the Macomb County man said it was difficult to believe.

"Winning is a good feeling because it’s money you don’t have to work to get. It’s like a big bonus," he added.

Recently, the lucky man visited the Michigan Lottery's headquarters to claim his $491,980 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

Asked about his plans for the unexpected windfall, the man admitted that he will pay off the loan on his house and save the rest.

The cost per play for Fantasy 5 is $1, while an extra $1 per play unlocks the EZmatch option, granting players a chance to instantly win a prize of up to $500.

Fantasy 5 drawings take place every day of the week at exactly 7:29 PM.

Tickets for same-day drawings can be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com or via retail outlets until 7:08 PM on the day of the drawing.

Interestingly, at the time of writing, the Fantasy 5 jackpot is similar to the amount won by the Macomb County lottery player, $491,000.
