NFL and Powerball team up for new Powerball Xs & Os weekly draw game

The fan-favorite draw-based game, Powerball, is joining forces with the National Football League (NFL) to deliver an all-new weekly draw game.

Combining the two iconic brands, Powerball and the NFL, the new game called Powerball Xs & Os, offers a range of prizes and is expected to resonate well with football and lottery fans alike.

Ticket cost is $5, players have a chance to win a range of prizes

Bringing game-day excitement to football fans and lottery players, the new game asks them to select eight NFL team logos from a lineup of 32 NFL teams.

Matching eight out of eight correct teams would grant the lucky player the game’s Grand Prize. The odds of that happening, according to a press release by Powerball, are 1 in 10,518,300.00.

Matching seven out of eight winning teams would bring players a prize of $20,000 and the odds of that happening are 1 in 54,782.81.

A tier-three prize for matching six out of eight teams and a tier-four prize for matching five out of eight teams award $500 and $40, respectively.

Lucky players who match four out of eight teams win $7, while the overall odds of winning any prize from Powerball Xs & Os are 1 in 12.16.

The game’s drawings will take place weekly, every Sunday at 10 PM ET throughout the year.

Each Powerball Xs & Os ticket costs $5 per play.

"Powerball Xs & Os results are randomly drawn and not based on, determined by, or dependent on the outcome of NFL games," Powerball’s press release explains.

Powerball Xs & Os will offer exclusive prizes

Besides a chance for a rolling jackpot and a range of cash prizes, Powerball Xs & Os enables players to earn points for each ticket they purchase.

Regardless if the tickets are winners or non-winners, players can enter them via www.PowerballOfficial.com and earn points, which can then be assigned to entries to various prize drawings.

Such prizes will include NFL Shop gift cars, Super Bowl LXI trip and other exclusive and engaging prizes.

According to Powerball, to earn points, players don’t need to wait for the drawing.

Jay Finks, Powerball Xs & Os Product Group Chair and Oklahoma Lottery Executive Director, spoke about the new game, saying: "Powerball Xs & Os is more than a game launch – it's the debut of the first national promotional prize program in Powerball history."

Moreover, he added: "This national program allows us to offer premier NFL prizes and experiences on a scale never before possible through a Powerball promotion."

Last but not least, Finks pointed to the exclusive prizes players can earn a chance for with every ticket they purchase.

Tickets for Powerball Xs & Os will start selling on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and the first drawing will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
