A lottery club in Michigan scored a million-dollar prize from a Powerball ticket.
The fortunate three-member club matched five white balls to win a $1m prize from Powerball, the Michigan Lottery announced Monday.
The lottery club, called K-Car, consists of three members.
They decided to participate in Powerball's drawing from December 20, 2025, and surprisingly, matched five white balls to win $1m.
To win the hefty prize, the lottery club matched correctly white balls 04, 05, 28, 52 and 69.
The winning ticket was purchased by one of the members of the K-Car club at Murphy USA on 4888 US Highway 10 in Ludington.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the United States and its tickets are sold in 45 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Washington D.C.
The game's drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM.
The cost per Powerball ticket is $2 and Michigan players can purchase tickets via retail outlets or by visiting MichiganLottery.com.
A spokesperson of the K-Car lottery club, Tracy Thompson, spoke with excitement about the latest win, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"One of the club members was out running errands and he stopped to buy a Powerball ticket since the jackpot was up to $1.5bn," the lottery club's representative said.
Thompson explained that on the next day, the lottery club member saw a Facebook publication confirming that a $1m Powerball win was hit in Ludington.
The lottery club member wasted no time and immediately checked the ticket.
"When confetti and ballons came up on the screen with a $1 million prize, he had a hard time believing it was real," Thompson said.
The K-Car lottery club representative outlined that after the club member was in disbelief, he scanned the ticket again and again to make sure the win was real.
Using the money from the unexpected windfall, the lottery club members plan to invest and travel.
