Imagine winning $100,000 and then $1,000,000 just months after. If you are Shelley Suttles from Bridgeport, Connecticut, however, you need not imagine anything at all, because this is what happened to the man who scooped up a second massive prize, this time from the Ultimate 7s lottery game, just months after he bagged the six-figure reward.
Apparently, Suttles has had no trouble enjoying the lottery while also landing a decent win from the Cash5Lottery draw game, when he earned his $100,000 payout.
Fast forward to September 30, 2025, however, and Suttles was back, beaming back at the camera from a picture shot at the lottery’s headquarters with the man holding an outsized check displaying his $1,000,000 reward.
The Connecticut Lottery congratulated the streak winner, and the Grand Package Store that sold the seven-figure winning ticket is also getting a $10,000 scoop as a bonus payable to every such venue in the state that sells a winning ticket. The bonus is calculated based on the total amount.
Commenting on his win, the man admitted, "I almost passed out. I scratched off the box and saw a million dollars."
"I’ve never seen a million dollars on a ticket before. I picked up the phone and told my sister, and she started screaming. She couldn’t believe it either," he added, speaking to the Connecticut Lottery, and recounting those early moments of the win.
Suttles is the last winner for the Ultimate7s game, as the lottery will now be winding it down. As to what he intends to do with the money, he will be paying off some bills, he told the lottery, as well as donating to his local church.
Is Suttles giving up on the lottery? Highly unlikely, given that he has struck good fortune twice!
