That’s the story of one Ballarat, Victoria, Australia man, who won the top prize from a recent Oz Lotto drawing.

Oz Lotto drawing produces a single division one winning entry

The fortunate winner purchased his System 8 entry via The Lott’s official website.

Entering Oz Lotto draw 1684 on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the man emerged as the single division one winner.

Draw 1684 saw winning numbers 16, 26, 34, 10, 25, 45 and 44, along with supplementary numbers 32, 21 and 15 drawn.

Hitting division one, the victorious Victorian is entitled to the Oz Lotto top prize for a AU$20m ($14.3m) payday.

Interestingly, the winner also scored division three for a total of seven times, increasing his payout to AU$20,037,278.15 ($14.4m).

"I’ve been playing Oz Lotto for 30 years"

When an official from The Lott contacted the unsuspecting Ballarat man, he was just about to prepare his breakfast.

The fortunate winner thought that one of his friends had tried to call him and was shocked to hear that he had won a life-changing jackpot.

"I’m a bit stunned right now. I’ve been playing Oz Lotto for 30 years. You just never think it will happen, and when it does it’s mind-blowing," the winner admitted.

Feeling overwhelmed, the fortunate player said that he needs some time to let the thought of winning the jackpot sink in.

It didn’t take long for the Ballarat man to start planning his future after the life-changing prize.

The incredibly lucky man said: "It will allow me to help my close family and friends."

Moreover, he explained that he is already calculating how much money he will give away to his siblings, adding that the lottery jackpot is so big that he wouldn’t be able to spend it all himself.

"I’ll wait until I see the zeros in my bank account and then some celebrations will be in order," the winner said in conclusion.
