Lottery player learns of AU$1m Weekday Windfall win after week

A Shoal Bay, New South Wales, Australia man has been walking around a millionaire without realizing it for a week.

On Wednesday, The Lott confirmed details regarding the fortunate winner.

Weekday Windfall draw 4602 produces a single division one winning entry

The lucky man scored the single division one winning entry from Weekday Windfall's draw 4602 from Monday, September 22, 2025.

The winning entry brought the Shoal Bay man a life-changing AU$1m ($661,400) prize.

The fortunate player purchased his winning entry at Shoal Bay Newsagency, Shops 32-33 Bay Village located at 47-51 Shoal Bay Road in Shoal Bay.

Weekday Windfall draw 4602 saw winning numbers 2, 10, 41, 27, 13 and 3, along with supplementary numbers 24 and 5 drawn.

The single division one winning entry from this particular game drawing is held by the New South Wales man.

"I've been using these same numbers for the past 40 or 50 years now"

The fortunate winner missed several phone calls from lottery officials who attempted to notify him of the win.

Interestingly, when The Lott finally reached the lucky man, he admitted that he had been using the same lottery numbers for decades.

"I only play a small, 4-game ticket, and I’ve been using these same numbers for the past 40 or 50 years now," the winner, whose identity wasn't publicly disclosed, said.

"It’s pretty great news. Thank you very much. It’ll most definitely help," the lucky man added.

As it turns out, the man realized he won big from Weekday Windfall on the same day he was contacted by a lottery official.

The winner said that he asked his neighbor to help him check the winning ticket.

Once entering the winning numbers, the winner's neighbor said she couldn't breathe.

"She then showed me the win, and I just thought ‘No, something has to be wrong," the Shoal Bay man said.

As with any lottery win, the fortunate winner was asked if he had any plans for his newfound fortune.

The Shoal Bay man admitted that he will approach this wisely, explaining that he plans to meet a financial advisor.

"For now, I’ll have a celebratory stubby this afternoon. Thank you," added the winner.
