An incredibly lucky lottery player in Virginia won a life-changing prize after participating in a popular online game.

On Wednesday, the Virginia Lottery confirmed that a Stafford County woman scored the jackpot prize from the online game, Jackpot Spectacular.

Online play amid chores brings jackpot prize

The aforementioned game is one out of dozens of online games that are currently offered by the Virginia Lottery.

Unlike some lottery games that are restricted to Virginia only, Jackpot Spectacular is played in multiple states.

The fortunate Fredericksburg-area woman was at her barn feeding her horses.

As the woman was waiting for the horses to finish their meal, she decided to try her luck by opening the Lottery's Jackpot Spectacular online game on her phone.

This is when the incredibly lucky woman scored the game's mega jackpot for a $3,046,101 payday.

In an interview with Lottery officials, the woman recalled the moment she won the Jackpot Spectacular top prize.

"I was surprised," the fortunate Stafford County woman admitted.

Moreover, the lucky winner added: "I didn't think it was real!"

Only recently, the Fredericksburg-area woman collected her life-changing $3m jackpot. She did not disclose if she had plans regarding the unexpected windfall.

Jackpot Spectacular players can win different prizes

The cost per play for the online game Jackpot Spectacular varies between $0.50 and $50.

The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.99 but it's important to note that the odds of winning the top prize depend on the price point the player chooses.

The game features a 5x3 grid with 15 symbols.

Depending on what symbols are revealed within the play area, players can win a range of prizes.

Jackpot Spectacular launched online on July 11, 2023.

At the time of writing, the game's estimated jackpot is $1,011,290.

Besides online games, the Virginia Lottery enables players to purchase Mega Millions, Powerball as well as Pick 3 and Cash4Life, among other tickets.
