A Jacksonville resident who stopped at a grocery store and purchased a lottery ticket was pleasantly surprised by a life-changing win.

The fortunate 39-year-old woman won a tier-two prize from the Florida Lottery's $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off game for a $1m payout.

After visiting a grocery store, a woman was surprised by a life-changing win

The incredibly lucky woman bought the winning ticket at Vakok Asian Grocery on 5757 Beney Road in Jacksonville.

To her surprise, she was able to beat the odds of 1 in 185,709 to win the mouth-watering $1m prize.

As with any win of such a prize, the lottery retailer received a bonus for selling the winning ticket.

As a result, Vakok Asian Grocery was awarded a $2,000 bonus commission from the Florida Lottery.

On the other hand, the Jacksonville woman recently visited the Lottery's headquarters located in Tallahassee.

The 39-year-old scratch-off ticket winner selected the option to receive a one-time lump cash sum payment of $640,000.00.

While the Duval County woman collected her big win, she did not confirm any plans regarding her newfound fortune.

It's also worth noting that the aforementioned sum comes ahead of the applicable taxes.

Many more prizes of $1m are available from the popular scratch-off ticket

Offering overall odds of 1 in 4.5, the Florida Lottery's $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off ticket costs $50 per play.

The scratch-off game series also comes in a price tag of $10, $5 and $2.

At launch, the $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular offered two top prizes of $1,000,000 per year for life. However, those two top prizes have already been claimed.

On the other hand, $1m prizes, such as the one only recently won by the Duval County woman, were a total of 234 at the launch of the ticket.

After the most recent $1m win, now, 58 such prizes remain in play.

A tier-three prize would award players $50,000. Out of 360 such prizes with odds of 1 in 120,711, now, 91 remain in play.

Within the lower tiers, players can win a range of other prizes such as $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000. The lowest prize with odds of 1 in 5 that a player can win from the $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off game is $100.
