A Lucky Day Lotto player has produced another big-time winner in Illinois, with the lucky player still not having stepped forward to claim their prize or pose for the customary photo-op.
The $700,000 Lucky Day Lotto ticket was sold on Sunday, August 2, the Illinois Lottery announced in a press statement shared with the media.
The ticket was purchased at Franklin Food & Liquors at 9735 W. Franklin Ave. in Franklin Park, with the lottery hoping that the customary public announcement will make the winner remember they bought the ticket there and check it.
The winner, whoever they are, won with the numbers 9, 13, 15, 16, and 37. While the winner is still not known, the lottery has caught up to the owner and clerk who work at the shop.
Ben, the owner, has spoken highly of the event, highlighting the refurbishments the venue has undergone recently, making it a more welcoming spot for customers.
"Vicky sold the winning ticket and called me to share the news. I feel so blessed that our store sold this winning ticket, and congratulations to the lucky winner," Ben said.
Vicky, the store clerk who sold the ticket, was similarly pleased with the development. The store is also going to get a bonus for selling the ticket - $7,000, with the money invested right back into the store.
"This prize will help us continue improving the store, expand our inventory, and better serve our customers and neighborhood," Ben explained. While the lottery is on the lookout for the winner and reminding them to step forward and claim their prize, there have been other big winners all across the Prairie State.
The Illinois Lottery has seen a string of big-time winners of late. At the end of July, another player secured a $500,000 payout from the Lucky Day Lotto game, with the winning numbers 18, 22, 28, 29 and 32.
Even more excitingly, a man was able to win three jackpots from the same game, with HotWins crowning the winner identified as Robert as a three-time winner, with his most recent prize won from the popular game fetching him the respectable $200,000 payout.
