One lottery player from Queensland, Australia, who tried his luck with a new game, was pleasantly surprised by a life-enhancing AU$200,000 win.

On Monday, The Lott confirmed that a Gatton man scored a 1st Prize winning entry from Lucky Lotteries' latest draw.

Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot's Monday draw brings AU$200K win to one Gatton man

The fortunate man purchased his winning ticket online via The Lott's official website.

The lottery player entered Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1745 on Monday, December 22, 2025.

His ticket with five consecutive numbers emerged as the 1st Prize Winning entry, which means that the lucky man will be collecting the entire AU$200,000 ($133,000) prize.

As raffle-style games, Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot have a set number of tickets for each draw.

Unlike Powerball and Mega Millions, raffle-style games have a unique ticket number, which means prizes are not shared.

At the time of writing, the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is AU$19.36m ($12.9m) for the next draw, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is AU$2.19m ($1.45m).

As one of The Lott's popular games, Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia were awarded more than AU$20.5m ($13.6m) in FY25.

"This is the happiest day of my life"

Contacted by The Lott on Monday, the fortunate winner was shaking with joy when he was told the good news and admitted that winning such a prize feels unreal.

"Oh my lord! I guess this is the dream. S***. I never thought I’d actually win! This is the happiest day of my life," the winner said.

Interestingly, the fortunate Queenslander admitted that this was the very first Lucky Lotteries ticket he had purchased.

"I’ve played other lottery games before, but never this one," the fortunate man added.

With the thought of winning the sweet AU$200,000 prize sinking in, the lucky lottery player already has plans about the unexpected windfall.

"I’ll finally be able to upgrade to a better car," the Gatton man said.

But that's not all, considering that the Queenslander said that thanks to the sweet prize, he will be able to catch up with family by visiting them abroad.
