A lucky person in Colorado has much to be happy about after the anonymous winner secured a huge payday, scooping more than $10,000,000.
The win was secured through a lottery ticket for the Colorado Lotto+ drawing, as confirmed by the Colorado Lottery. The player who won on Wednesday had bought their ticket at King Soopers in Conifer at 25637 Conifer Road.
The $10,500,233 jackpot was won with the numbers 4, 9, 12, 22, 26, and 34, and it represents one of the largest wins in the game. While the Colorado Lottery hasn't released many details about the win beyond that, there are a few interesting takeaways for lottery aficionados to note.
For starters, the odds of winning the game are actually somewhat long - 1 in 3,838,380, but still within the realm of possibility. The person who has won - assuming it’s only one person - would be able to opt for the annuity option or the one-off lump payment, which amounts to $5,250,116 before tax.
This is not the only recent time that the Colorado Lotto+ game produced a big winner.
Several months ago, another player scooped a big prize from the title, with $3,120,760 won from the game in the March 25, 2026 drawing. The person was eligible to receive a $1,560,380 lump sum payment.
