The world's biggest bookmaker, William Hill, announced a new sponsorship agreement ahead of one of the most anticipated and famous steeple chase taking place at the Aintree Racecourse, in Merseyside, Liverpool, UK. The company confirmed Monday it teamed up with the Randox Grand National Festival.
Under the terms of the new deal, William Hill was designated as the Official Betting Partner of the Randox Grand National. Thanks to the new three-year deal, the leading bookmaker will benefit from brand exposure.
Dickon White, Aintree and North West Regional Director at The Jockey Club, shared his excitement about the new announcement in a statement saying: "William Hill is synonymous with horse racing in this country so we are thrilled they are going to be involved with our flagship meeting at Aintree for the next three years."
Daryl West, William Hill's Head of Sponsorship, Social and PR, added: "The Grand National Festival at Aintree is one of the pinnacles of the National Hunt calendar and we are delighted to be involved as the Official Betting Partner for the next three years." Finally, West pointed out: "Horseracing is a vital part of our heritage, and it was an easy decision for us to support not just the biggest race in the sport but a huge event in the annual sporting calendar."
The new collaboration expands further William Hill's presence, considering that the bookmaker already has established its presence at the racetrack with on-course shops. Moreover, the sponsorship deal with the Randox Grand National comes after only recently, the company teamed up with Barry Geraghty, a former Jump jockey and 2003 National winner.
Teaming up with William Hill, Geraghty became one of the brand ambassadors for the bookmaker. He joined a growing team of famous people who became brand ambassadors such as Nick Luck, Leonna Mayor, as well as Sir AP McCoy.
Besides Official Betting Partner of the Randox Grand National, William Hill will also be the sponsor of three ITV-televised races set ahead of the Randox Grand National.
Recently, William Hill inked a partnership deal with Aston Villa FC, a popular professional football club. Announced in late December, the deal saw the company become the official in-stadium betting partner of the team. At the time of the announcement, the bookmaker confirmed that the collaboration will deliver exciting promotions as well as exclusive prizes for fans of the team and bettors alike.
