Regulatory changes in Sweden are looming with more suppliers and operators hurrying up to secure a license under the expected changes. The latest to have done so and received an updated permit by the Spelinspektionen, the country’s gambling regulator, is Wazdan.

The prominent supplier has obtained the important licensing permit which will allow it to continue deploying its established content of games. This comes at a similarly important time for the company as it has received six nominations for the BSG Nordic Awards 2023, taking place on May 16-17.

Wazdan has plenty to offer to the Swedish iGaming market, bringing a variety of 100 excellent games. Wazdan is the author of hits such as Hot Slot: Mystery Jackpot Joker and 9 Coins, as well as Hot Slot: 777 Rubies. The company is also the author of some distinct and original game mechanics, such as Hold the Jackpot.

Wazdan Chief Executive Officer MichalImiolek has welcomed the opportunity to see his company strengthen its B2B operations with the important addition of Spelinspektionen as one of the licensing bodies. Imiolek thanked the regulator for the swift process and said that the permit served as a testament to the company’s hard work in ensuring that its products are compliant.

"The Nordic market is an important one for us and we’ve been an active supplier in the region for some time, so we’re excited to be able to keep entertaining Swedish players for years to come," Imiolek concluded.

Wazdan has been doing particularly well in multiple markets of late. The company has elevated its supplier profile in several markets, partnering with Caesars Sportsbook & Casino in Ontario, Canada.

Another big milestone for Wazdan, apart from its licensing agreement in Spelinspektionen this month, has been the partnership with Kindred Group-owned 32Red in the United Kingdom. The company similarly launched its products with Bingoal in the Netherlands, expanding its local footprint in yet another pivotal market.

Wazdan has been fully focused on regulated iGaming markets, with the supplier bringing its content portfolio in a compliance-ready fashion with some of the leading operators in crucial jurisdictions that have a robust track record for promoting responsible and licensed gambling products.
