Award-winning business-to-business (B2B) online gambling solutions and technology provider WA.Technology has announced it secured an important information security certification.
The company ramped up the security of its systems considering that it was awarded the prestigious ISO 27001:2022 certification.
Recognized as a milestone moment, the certification highlights WA.Technology's commitment to protecting its data and the data of its customers.
ISO 27001:2022 helps companies across the globe strengthen their information security management systems (ISMS).
Securing the gold standard for ISMS, WA.Technology reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the highest possible controls for data integrity standards and security controls.
Francesca Grech, WA.Technology's ISO Coordinator, shared her excitement about the latest certification in a press release.
"We are absolutely thrilled to have received the ISO 27001:2022 certification – this is a true reflection of our commitment to upholding the highest standards in information and cyber security and improving our overall risk management and operational efficiency," she revealed.
Grech acknowledged that the new ISO certification represents the gold standard for security for online companies.
The executive added that the company is aware of the importance of the certification and ensuring data security in the online vertical.
Finally, Grech said: "This is imperative not only to protect our partners' information but also to build trust and enhance credibility and confidence too."
To secure the prestigious certification, WA.Technology has gone through an extensive review and analysis.
The company's procedures, policies and security protocols were scrutinized.
In addition, WA.Technology's comprehensive security controls against vulnerabilities have gone through assessment.
This extensive monitoring and scrutiny were necessary to determine how the company can address potential data breaches and information theft among other security-related threats and challenges.
ISO 27001:2022 is an update of the International Organization for Standardization's 27001 certification from 2013.
Besides an update, ISO 27001:2022 is the latest version of the certificate which features additional controls and provisions for mitigating risks and challenges within the digital vertical.
Ultimately, the certification focuses on ensuring data protection, maintaining safe access to data, as well as other crucial processes.
