Texas Lottery chooses Pollard Banknote for scratch ticket manufacturing

The Texas Lottery Commission has chosen Pollard Banknote to provide it with scratch ticket manufacturing and services as part of a new contract revealed on Wednesday. The contract will extend the partnership between the two and will see Pollard Banknote in the driver’s seat through 2034. To this end, the company will deploy its easyVEND In-Lane ticket vending solution, which will be available at retailers that work with the Texas Lottery across the state.

The solution makes it easier for consumers to purchase scratch tickets. It combines innovative technology and security with eye-catching merchandise display, the company explained in the official release. According to the company, the Texas Lottery will have a much easier time trying to drive sales and achieve stronger revenues, using the great technical support provided by Pollard Banknote.

Pollard Banknote is already a trusted and respected partner for the Texas Lottery. It has been instrumental in driving strong results which have translated into more returns for good causes across the entire state. The Texas Lottery is also seeing a strong uptake in revenue with FY2022 marking record sales of tickets with some $8.29bn clocked in so far. This is the12th consecutive record-breaking month of increasing sales and overall results.

The main driver of this success has been scratching ticket sales which have reached $6.72bn in FY2022. They accounted for 81% of the overall sales that the lottery was able to realize during the observed period reported in the press release. There are numerous games that have been a hit with local players in particular, including $50 Casino Millions and X the Cash family of games, the Hawaii Dream Gateway, and so many more.

Texas Lottery Executive Director Gary Grief welcomed the opportunity the expand things a step further: "Our strong history with Pollard Banknote has allowed us to work closely to bring many new games and innovative products to market." Pollard Banknote VP of Sales & Marketing Brad Thompson said that the company was thrilled to continue building upon its successful relationship with the lottery.
