Superbet Group has become the latest company to join the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), a body that is committed to raising industry standards and responsible gambling commitments.

EGBA welcomes its newest member with Superbet

As the "leading voice of Europe’s online gambling sector," EGBA has played a pivotal role in helping hammer out regulation and advise on the best course of action for addressing responsible gambling commitments on both member and industry levels.

EGBA sets out clear frameworks for responsible advertising, safer gambling, and guidelines for the implementation of anti-money laundering rules across the European Union, and Superbet Group joins at an important moment, as the European Commission is expected to put forward new legislation that will similarly have a bearing on the online gambling sector.

Commenting on the opportunity to welcome its newest member, EGBA Secretary-General Maarten Haijer has said that the membership will further strengthen the association’s industry representation, hailing the group’s expertise in the industry.

"Superbet’s expertise and market focus will be invaluable to call upon as EGBA continues its drive to set high industry standards and promote a safe and competitive online gambling environment in Europe," Haijer added.

As to Superbet Group, company COO Albert Simsensohn was similarly pleased with the development. He hailed the opportunity to see the group join EGBA and added that it demonstrated its commitment to raising industry standards of compliance across all markets.

"We are prepared to work closely with EGBA, exchanging industry best practices and ensuring that our industry operates in a fair and properly regulated European environment," Simsensohn added.

EGBA has been an outspoken industry body which has leaned in on some of the biggest regulatory changes across Europe.

The organization spoke openly about a set of proposed changes to Italian gambling laws outlined earlier this year, and EGBA is similarly backing the European Safer Gambling Week 2024, which is due to take place from November 18-24.
