SOFTSWISS hires racing icon Rubens Barrichello

The globally-recognizable tech company that provides software solutions to iGaming operators, SOFTSWISS, announced an important senior-level hire. This week, the company confirmed it appointed the Formula 1 legend, Rubens Barrichello, to the role of Non-Executive Director in Latin America. The latest move of the operator, with more than 15 years of experience, seeks to complement its growth in the region.

Hiring the Formula 1 legend, SOFTSWISS anticipates the expert will help propel its presence in Latin America, building on the solid foundation laid by years of hard work. Besides being a legendary Formula 1 racing driver, Barrichello is a proven leader and an outstanding team player. Alongside SOFTSWISS' senior-level team in Latin America, the expert is expected to provide strategic advice, guidance and play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion of the company in the region.

The latest senior-level appointment comes at a time when SOFTSWISS is considering further expansion in Latin America and especially within Brazil, which is a major market for the region. Data released by TGM Research predicts that the iGaming sector in Brazil is estimated to hit €2.3bn by 2026. In case this happens, the iGaming vertical would represent approximately 1% of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which stands at €1.5tn.

Barrichello revealed in a statement that it is thrilling to join SOFTSWISS. "The iGaming field has shown remarkable growth both in Brazil and globally," explained the racing legend. Additionally, Barrichello pointed out: "Joining SOFTSWISS, I am delighted to become one of the drivers of this process in Latin America! I am sure my background with the leading racing team will propel the iGaming tech leader towards success in the region."

Ivan Montik, SOFTSWISS' Founder, was just as thrilled about the latest senior-level appointment. He welcomed Barrichello and said that it was thrilling to see him join the company's Board. Montik added: "Having him join our team is a strategic step for us. Barrichello's collaborative prowess on the racing track in a highly competitive tech sphere, resulting in team victories, mirrors SOFTSWISS' partnership approach." Earlier this year, SOFTSWISS announced that its aggregation solution reached a staggering 20,000 games. This milestone achievement recognized the company's dedication to supplying its growing portfolio of customers with a wide range of unique games.
