Scientific Games signs new major deal with Hellenic Lotteries

• Hellenic Lotteries named Scientific Games a supplier of scratchcards after a competitive procurement process
• Per the alliance, the latter will power the former with quality games and solutions for the next 12 years
• Executives at Allwyn Hellas, the Hellenic Lotteries parent company, and Scientific Games share their excitement

The world's largest lottery games company, Scientific Games, continues to grow its presence on the Old Continent.

Earlier this week, the company announced it emerged as the winner of a tender to deliver instant scratchcard games to Greek players.

More than a dozen new games kick off the new collaboration

The latest accomplishment comes after Hellenic Lotteries, which is part of Allwyn Hellas, the leading gaming group in Greece, selected Scientific Games as a supplier of scratchcards through a competitive and comprehensive procurement process.

Hellenic Lotteries' previous license recently concluded, and the company was able to successfully obtain a new license, permitting it to manage and operate passive lotteries and scratchcard games in Greece for the next 12 years.

Kicking off the successful partnership and its newly obtained license, Hellenic Lotteries introduced 14 new scratchcard games in May.

At the same time, the lottery operator has the capability to enter the online vertical with digital lottery propositions in the near future.

The Greek scratchcard games offered by Scientific Games are produced at the company's European Center of Game Production Excellence, located in the UK.

Currently, the Center services more than 40 lotteries located within the EMEA region.

Besides a range of scratchcards, the alliance grants Hellenic Lotteries access to an expert sales support team that monitors the delivery and security of games.

Matthias Müller, Scientific Games' Senior Vice President, International Sales, spoke about the importance of the new collaboration, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Our instant game innovators will continue to apply Scientific Games' 53 years of analytics and game design best practices working to provide a portfolio of innovative scratchcards that drives responsible growth in Greece," he explained.

Matthaios Mattaiou, Allwyn Hellas' Chief Sales & Marketing PLAY Stores/HL and Operations Officer, was similarly excited with the new agreement.

He acknowledged that Hellenic Lotteries and Allwyn Hellas remain dedicated to offering supreme customer experiences.

"Therefore, we're delighted to collaborate with Scientific Games as our instant game provider to deliver exciting scratchcard games to players in Greece," Mattaiou added.

Finally, the executive acknowledged that the new scratchcard games kicked off the new partnership, which is expected to bring even more engaging and entertaining experiences to customers across Greece.
