Scientific Games Corporation has expanded its OpenGaming platform after signing an exclusive agreement with online gaming studio Wazdan. The two companies will offer mobile-first gaming to players in New Jersey and West Virginia starting in the first quarter of 2022. This platform incorporates responsible gaming tools to enhance the iGaming experience and find support from regulators.
Wazdan was founded in 2010 and has since released more than 140 games in 17 countries. The studio will be focusing more on the North American market in the coming months as it finalizes supplier licenses for Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Steve Mayes, partnership director at SGDigital, commented that the exclusive aggregation partner further strengthens the company's wide range of games available to players in key regulated states across the US through the OpenGaming platform.
He added, "Everyone within the industry knows how talented the team at Wazdan are and what they bring to the table. We thoroughly believe players across the US will enjoy their fantastic portfolio of slots just as much as everyone else across the world does. Finally, I'd like to thank Bekki D'Agata at Wazdan for her assistance in getting this major deal over the line."
Customers of OpenGaming will soon have the opportunity to play Sizzling777 Deluxe, Power of Gods, the Pantheon and Black Horse Deluxe, as well as Relic Hunters, the Book of Faith and new Hold the Jackpot hits like Sun of Fortune, Burning Stars 3 and more.
Wazdan NJ Chief Operating Officer Michal Imiolek added, "Scientific Games is a company that needs no introduction, being one of the leading players in the industry. We're delighted to partner with them in this exclusive agreement.
"Our greatest success in America this year has been our progress in the United States. We are excited to continue working closely with Scientific Games and increase our presence in the US. This will allow us to provide players with immersive experiences."
Wazdan isn't just focused on the North American market. Last November, it partnered with Kaizen Gaming. Its products will be distributed by Stoiximan in Greece, Kaizen's top-selling brand. The operator, which is the biggest in the Greek iGaming industry, added many of Wazdan's games to its portfolio, including the Sizzling Bells Hold the Jackpot series, the Power of Gods series and Hades.
More games with a Greek theme will be released, such as Power of Gods Medusa. As Wazdan's momentum builds, the company is looking to quickly move into new European markets. This will be done both by releasing new products and getting market access in key markets.
Wazdan has already established good relations with Kaizen, as it collaborates with Betano in key jurisdictions like Portugal, Romania and Germany. Betano is near to launching the supplier's title portfolio on its platform.
