Scientific Games' growing business has necessitated another appointment at the top with the company now choosing Mike Cardell to serve as Senior Vice President of Americas Systems.

Cardell is not a chance pick, as he comes with an extensive background of having worked for more than 17 years across various technology, product, and serviceroles, and has collaborated with various teams to drive growth for consumer-facing applications, help improve IT conversions, achieve company benchmarks, and deliver impactful results.

Cardell worked for 11 years at Fiserv where his most recent position saw him serve as VicePresident and General Manager of Next Gen Solutions: Signature and Cloud Solutions. Having worked in the fintech sector, Cardell is a seasoned veteran who has served in high-demand positions that have shaped and built his character as an important addition to any corporate structure.

This experience will be useful as Scientific Games is a company that partners with more than 150 lotteries in 50 countries.

His extensive track record makes him an excellent pick for the company and its American lottery system business, which continues to post strong if incremental improvements over its revenue. Cardell will help with client relationships and ensure that Scientific Games meets its stated goal of generating profits from responsible play.

Commenting on his new appointment, Scientific Games President of Americas & Global Instant Products John Schulz said that Cardell was an individual who had a deep understanding of both sustainable growth and developing strategies.

"Mike will be instrumental in growing our systems business and ensuring innovation and operational excellence in our existing system operations. His strategic mindset and leadership experience make him a valuable addition to Scientific Games. We are excited to welcome him to our team," Schulz added.

Recently, Scientific Games has unveiled a new app and loyalty program with the Delaware Lottery, with the company continuing to shape the local lottery market in the United States and beyond through strategic partnerships.
