SBC Summit North America’s most recent edition, which took place on May 7-9, was celebrated as a success by the nearly 5,000 delegates in attendance and the event’s hosts from SBC Events.
CEO and Founder of SBC, Rasmus Sojmark, was particularly pleased with the opportunity to deliver an innovative format that gathered some of the industry’s fines and had noted a significant annual growth.
"We had nearly 5,000 of you join us this year, a substantial increase from the 3,500 delegates we gathered at the Meadowlands last year. I am always happy to feel your support, and it seems that every year, more and more of you realize how much work the entire SBC team puts into the event. Thank you for making this edition special. It was a blast," Sojmark remarked proudly.
SBC Summit North America was indeed something to speak about as the event gathered more than 300 industry leaders, among whom were the likes of Nevada Congresswoman Dina Titus, Shawn Fluharty, President of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States, BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt, and many others.
The significance of the event was attested by the very people in attendance, with Stephanie Maxwell, Deputy Director and General Counsel of the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council adding: "Being here and having the opportunity to listen to panelists and learn how they've addressed specific issues and pain points, it's been really helpful."
She was joined by BetMGM Senior Director of Compliance Sarah Brennan who said: "One of the unique aspects of SBC is the very personal interaction prior to participating in this event, which allows you to speak on a panel that's truly relevant to your personal experience in your professional capacity right now."
Other noteworthy individuals in attendance were Sam Segal, Co-Founder and CEO at MediaTroopers as well as Caesars Digital COO Kenneth Fuchs. SBC North America has been focusing on tackling the issues and challenges that the industry faces today, and also creating an environment for innovation and an opportunity to bring contesting viewpoints together and beget progress.
Slot influencer Kelly Koffler was similarly happy with the opportunity to see this event take place, adding: "There’s a lot of value for anyone doing what I’m doing because iGaming is only becoming more prevalent, so the more we learn, the more we can give to our viewers. They look up to us to be educated, so this is perfect for that."
With next year’s event certainly coming back, you want to keep your ears to the ground for fresh updates from SBC!
