SBC sets sights on Lisbon after record Barcelona summit

Following the tremendous success of SBC Summit Barcelona 2023, SBC is prepared to open a new chapter in its history as host of one of the most important industry events in gambling. The event is now rebranding and moving to Lisbon, Portugal and will be known simply as "SBC Summit" moving forward.

The new stage is set for September 24-26, 2024 at the Lisbon’s Feira Internacional de Lisboa and it is hoping to gather a much bigger number as well, some 25,000 attendees on a total of 100,000 square meters. The upcoming event will also have 600 exhibitors and some 500 expert speakers again.

SBC CEO and Founder Rasmus Sojmark welcomed the opportunity to celebrate an exciting chapter for his company and the recent success of the Barcelona gathering. He added:

"The success of this edition paves the way for an even more prosperous next edition. We can't wait to welcome you all in Lisbon for SBC Summit 2024!"

As to SBC Summit Barcelona 2023, the gathering brought together around 15,000 attendees, reuniting them around five stages which covered everything from sports betting to affiliate markets, emerging technology, regulation, esports, crypto and more.

As part of the SBC Summit Barcelona 2023, SBC hosted the SBC Leaders Summit which reunited another 500 high-ranking industry executives. The event was also assisted by the SBC Connect+ Lounge platform which mate it easier for delegates to find each other and connect.

A total of 2,500 interactions were carried out through the platform, further highlighting the hosts ability to innovate their concept and create a unique experience that is aided by technology to boost how much each delegate takes away from its events.

The tool also made it possible to track the most successful panels during SBC Summit Barcelona 2023 with these five choices standing among attendees:

• "Affiliate Leaders Panel: Leading Partnerships in Emerging Markets"

SBC Summit Barcelona 2023 was of course also accompanied by the First Pitch competition which awarded more than €60,000 in first-place package to one promising startup innovator. This year’s edition saw SnapOdds win the distinction, sponsored by Yolo Investments. The event also saw the latest edition of the SBC Awards, an esteemed award ceremony that distinguishes deserving companies.
