The sovereign American Indian tribe of Serrano people in San Bernardino County, California, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, was recognized with a prestigious certification. Earlier this week, the Tribe revealed that its Tribal Government Operations and Yaamava' Resort & Casino in San Manuel secured a Great Place To Work Certification.

A statement released by the Tribe reveals that 81% of its team members voted Yaamava' Resort & Casino is a great place to work. The latest recognition marks the third consecutive year the Tribe has secured the aforementioned award. A comparison to average companies across the United States shows that the Yaamava' Resort & Casino's score was 24 points higher.

Laurens Vosloo, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians' Chief Executive Officer, shared his excitement about the latest recognition. He explained: "San Manuel is a unique employer that brings together tribal government operations, hospitality, gaming and entertainment into a single enterprise that helps ensure the Tribe's livelihood today and for generations to come."

Finally, Vosloo pointed out: "It's an honor to work for an enterprise where more than 80 percent of our team applauds the Tribe for fostering a welcoming, safe, and respectful culture. This recognition is one of many that validates why San Manuel is a great place to work."

Renowned as the only employee experience platform, Great Place To Work, helps measure workplace culture and real experiences by employees of companies within different sectors. A specialized survey helps measure the employees' trust in the organization, as well as the leadership behaviors and consistency of workers' experiences.

The third certification in a row doesn't come as a surprise, considering the Tribe's sustainable growth and focus on engaging with communities, team members and charitable organizations. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is proud to offer its employees chances for growth and development. The Tribe also supports the participation of its employees in different activations, including talent shows, among other initiatives.

Lynn Valbuena, the Tribe's Chairwoman, commented: "San Manuel is grateful to our team members and proud to lead an enterprise that has achieved certification as a Great Place to Work for the third year in a row." Last but not least, Valbuena outlined: "Since day one, we have endeavored to create a work environment that reflects our Serrano Tribal culture and values where our team members are respected, feel welcomed, supported, and rewarded for their dedication and hard work."

Employees from more than 10,000 companies in 60 countries across the world share the experience with their employer every year. The prestigious Great Place to Work Certification is a testament to the efforts of companies that are dedicated to helping their employees learn new skills, grow and deliver positive employee experiences.
