Puerto Rico is fast transforming itself into an important point of interest for sports betting giants in the United States with Caesars Entertainment Inc becoming the latest company to roll out its dedicated mobile sports betting app over the past several weeks. The Caesars Sportsbook betting app is a direct response to BetMGM, which launched several weeks back, and it demonstrates the importance that the sports betting industry is going to play in the territory.

Caesars Sportsbook already has a physical presence at Casino Metro which opened in December 2022. Moving forward, the Caesars mobile sportsbook will be available to download and use by people who are physically located in Puerto Rico and want to place a bet remotely, which is fast becoming the preferred way of betting for the majority of sports fans.

Commenting on this new launch, Caesars Digital President Eric Hession said that the addition of the mobile sports wagering platform was an excellent way to further engage with local betting crowds and deliver quality products to them. Hession also thanked the company’s partners and the regulator that made the launch possible:

"We’d like to thank our partners and the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission for making our sportsbook available throughout all of Puerto Rico and we’re confident customers will enjoy an experience they can’t find anywhere else."

Hession similarly hailed the functionality of the new sportsbook app and said that it offered excellent features, fast deposits and payouts, and numerous payment options to choose from, along with in-play and play-by-play betting options. Meanwhile, the MetroBets with Caesars Sportsbook retail venue is a great place to visit, offering 14 self-serving betting kiosks, odds boards, and more than 25 LED TVs to ensure that guests and sports fans are having a blast.

BetMGM launched its own sports betting app and mobile services in Puerto Rico at the beginning of June and has had a good head start. Puerto Rico is quickly developing into a sports betting hub itself, with the territory registering strong interest from local sports fans and global brands that are keen to build a robust sports gambling infrastructure.

Both BetMGM and Caesars bring with them years of experience in the regulated betting market and have been champions of responsible and legal gambling.
